Chrome stickers are available at all leading sticker shops. I enquired one here he said he can procure. I plan to do that on the waistline moulding of my i10.

I think Ilango will be the best man to answer this question.

BTW chrome wont get highlighted that much in white as much as it does in black.

There is a Chrome beading like thing available in the market, which has adhesive stuck on it,and it is easy to fix by yourself.I am planning to have it stuck on outline/border of my car's grill.
Not sure about the exact price, but,i have seen it on many shops in G.P.Road,Chennai.

Re: help for chrome attachements or coating.

ya i have also planned to stick the chrome beading but just on the window edges
my chrome beading remains a question yet as " how to, where to !!!"
i do not want those plastic eye candies but real metal. no success yet .

please help if anybody can.

next thing is:-
i want to lay a dark red leather layer on grey surface under the dash (punto dash is dual tone black-grey ) i did not like grey much so thinking of upholstery
so gurus please advice ..

1.how is it done

2. is leather glued to fibre dash. if so what kind of glue ?

3. sure i am going to give it some good car interior boutique but before that i want to make sure he is competent for long lasting job . (dont wish to see things falling apart in a year)

Re: help for chrome attachements or coating.

Missed this thread.

the chrome thing as said , sold in chennai as strip gets faded with time.
Ohc's , baleno have such strips . no idea where the original one is sold till now.

chrome paint available. a litre cost about 6 to 7k. then count in painting charges.
chrome paints are long lasting .

The sad part is the least quality what they sell is half a litre , where normal paints are given at 100ml as least quantity.

100 ml is enough for touch up of one full door - to cover up scratches.

So buying a half a litre is waste. usefull if 3 to 5 cars line up for painting.

The leather can be glued to the dash board. A good liner will do the job.

Else painting the dashboard is one best solution .

Re: help for chrome attachements or coating.

ilango , do you have experts for the same . i can afford 3k for paint, if job done guarantees impressive and long lasting .
if so how long will it take .
(that would be an excuse to meet you chennai/pondi guys too)

no i do not prefer paint anywhere interiors. i wish to have upholstery, some kind of mahogany or teak colour leather .

leather liner you mean fevicol SR or such thing . but i think those kind of glue cannot withstand high temperature and tends to form bubles under the layer in long run.
do you know any specific brand of glue known for same ?

Yes i have seen glue become sticky in hot summer on omni and 8000 roof during summer . but there was no issues. but since yours is in dash i am not 100% sure.

painting is best solution.

thanks ilango for your kindness.

i understand painting on dash is good solution but i wanted to get rid of plasticy feel on the dash means colour is not the priority.

i wish to have muted fluffy feel on them making the interiors further cozy.
(interior feel of punto very nice). hope you understand .

if not leather some good material worth the looks.
i am eagerly looking forward to red ,the same red in which punto seat has been stitched.

ilango is it possible to forge/hardpress stainless steel sheets into beading covers .

Painting with some magic makes the plastic thing off , experimental.
