Re: The Story of Tata's Epic Journey from Trucks to Aria

Mayank Pareek, Sales and Marketing head from Suzuki, quits and is rumoured to Join Tata Motors. This would be good change for Tata, as his experience of 20 years with Suzuki, would be beneficial for Tata. Tatas have had great products however, sales and after sales have not be able to showcase them aptly. With Suzuki experience, thing look bright for Tata.

R.S Kalsi will now be heading the position left by Mayank Pareek. Mr.Kalsi was previously heading parts, accessories and outbound logistics division of Maruti Suzuki.
Mr.Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India said “RS Kalsi has served as our National Sales Head, before which he had led the Company’s foray into a bouquet of businesses including Maruti Finance and Maruti True Value. Starting out as an engineer on the Maruti shop floor, Kalsi has performed multiple roles across the spectrum. This has enabled him to develop a sound understanding of the business, and a deep commitment to Maruti Suzuki values. Having worked in close partnership with the Company’s domestic dealer network, Kalsi has a sound understanding of customer needs and preferences. With Kalsi heading our domestic Marketing and Sales efforts, and Shashank spearheading our international operations, we will be in a very good position to strengthen our bond with customers as we move towards our medium term goal of two million annual vehicles sales”.

Nagesh Basavanhalli exits Fiat India [confused]
It is learnt that Pablo Rosso, current head of Fiat Chrysler in South Korea, will take over as the interim head of Fiat Chrysler India in January 2015.

As companies with smaller market share in India get busy with aggressive growth strategies in the coming years, Fiat Chrysler cannot afford to lose any more time. That could be the reason for this change. Rosso, who was stationed in India before Basavanhalli played a pivotal role as an interface' between Fiat headquarters and the Asia-Pacific region, as product manager for India. Rosso's immediate task will be to fix the leadership vacuum in Fiat India.
