2012 Moscow Motor Show - 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara facelift launched

The age-old Suzuki Grand Vitara that first went into production in the year 2005 has received a much needed facelift and has been officially launched at the on-going 2012 Moscow Motor Show.

The biggest change can be seen in the front where a completely new grille has taken shape along with black headlamp bezels, chrome side moldings and side mirrors with integrated turn signals. There is also a choice of 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, changes are limited to new seat fabrics, a new standard infotainment system with integrated navigations and a new optional backup camera.

The launch of the refreshed 2013 Grand Vitara in Moscow comes just months after the SUV made its debut in Suzuki's home market in Japan. And the SUV's Indian debut isn't too far either. Just few days back, there were reports stating that Maruti Suzuki is planning to not only roll in the facelifted model of the Grand Vitara in the country, but will also start importing the SUV via the CKD route to be able to locally assemble the model, as against the current pattern of importing CBU units, which by default brings along expensive price tag. It should be noted that the SUV shown in the images is the Euro-spec model and the Indian-spec SUV will be derived from JDM or the Japanese Domestic Market.

We expect the Indian-spec Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV to launch in the Indian market by the end of 2012.
