I'm planning to fit the GPS Navigation system in my car.
I'm totally unaware about it, can you please suggest me about its type, brand, Subscription & its other related utilities, etc.

Which brand is the best ?? & at which cost ??

@Vishwas;
I'm looking in for New Swift DZire.
Probably a Windshield or dash mounted one.

Budget is around 8k.
Maruti dealer have also shown the MGA GPS Navigation device worth Rs.9k, with 1 year warranty.

I think MMI has the best map for India. MMI VX140S is a good one though price is slightly higher than your budget. It is approx. about Rs.10000/=.

Welcome aboard and Congrats on Dzire. Map My India is something to look out for. It’s one of the reliable and renowned GPS brands in the market.

I'm totally unaware about it, can you please suggest me about its type, brand, Subscription & its other related utilities, etc.
Here are a few links to the reviews floating around in our forum that cover these aspects. Please feel free to ask anything specific.

Budget is around 8k.
There’s an entry-level version called “Road Pilot” from MMI. It costs Rs.7,990 but size of the screen is too small. Just stretch the budget to a couple of thousands if possible and buy VX140S (Rs.9,990). It’s a safe and VFM choice within limited budget.

Probably a Windshield or dash mounted one.
Not an issue. This will be included in the box with MMI.

Hi DZEvoque.. have you set up your ICE alraedy? i hope if it is VDI or ZDI the music systems comes with that. Why dont you think about setting up a head unit with GPS in built? I have a plan to get a Megaaudio HU that comes with 7" LCD screen, GPS integrated, 3G etc. but not decided yet

The advantage is, u can have everything (Reverse camera, GPS etc) on a single 7" display which is fitted on your dashboard.
