These 'dynamic emails' will allow users to take certain actions within an email, without leaving their current screen. Google has now announced that it will start rolling out these dynamic emails to all Gmail and G Suite users from July 2. The feature is currently available in beta.

Gmail for Android getting Dark Mode in bits and pieces

Google introduced a new white layout for Gmail on Android back in January this year. And now Gmail for Android is getting dark mode in certain parts of the app. For now, it is only in the Settings area of the app. You can neither turn on or off the Dark mode on Gmail right now. This change is part of the Gmail v2019.06.09 update. And apart from the settings area, neither the sidebar nor the main mail area has it. Though this is progress and it shows that Google is on the right path with Gmail.

Google Photos on Android gets live preview feature for videos

The live preview feature on Google’s photo service works similar to the way it does on YouTube. While YouTube fetches a small portion of the video to show you a preview, Google Photos plays the entire video. This will be useful in deciding whether to open a video or not. Like YouTube, Google Photos plays back only the video and does not play the audio associated with it. The feature is not a big deal breaker as it but is a step in the right direction.
