I am starting this thread since I am a potential Grand i10 buyer, I need to know the FE figures of the current i10 and Grand i10 owners (petrol). Also we need to know the driving style since this is a major contributor to the poor/excellent FE.

If the fellow TAIians could share their data, this would be helpful since there are many complaints about the poor i10 petrol mileage. We would like to know the real world information from the members of this forum.
Please share your data in the below format

Model:
FE:
Driving condition: City/Highway and what kind of traffic etc.
Drivign Style: Rash/Sedated/driving with correct RPMs and gear shifts etc.

Mods,
I know there is another thread Fuel Efficiency Figures of Your Cars that is currently existing for FE, but I wanted to start this thread specific to i10 and Grand i10 cars. If you think, this is redundant you can go ahead and close this thread.

This is a great initiative.one issue is that we should point out that we are talking about the kappa2vtvtv engine and the older epsilon petrol engine which older i10's have.

I had kappa1 (2009 model ) i10 auto asta with sunroof.
My mileage figures were ( 100% AC on)--
City -- 12-13 kmpl
Highway -- 16-18 kmpl
Ghat section -climb -- 13-14 kmpl

Thanks for pointing this out.
Guys - Please include the engine model too in your replies.
The driving style also should be a parameter when users pen down their figures. This is an important attribute for FE. Please also include this in your replies.

Yes. That is why I included the same in my initial post. Please check the first post of the thread.

Hyundai i10 IRDe Mileage in CITY 12/lit - Please share yours

Dear All,

I own a Hyundai i10 irde2 purchased on 2013. The odo of the vehicle is currently 18989 kms. Yes, I knew its very less for a 3 year old vehicle [roll] .

Now am driving this vehicle only in chennai city and I am getting a mileage of 12 kmpl in bumper to bumper city traffic with always AC on. Please let me know whether the number is normal for a 1.1 litre engine or should I take the vehicle to the service center for tune up ?

I haven't get a chance to check the mileage on highway as I was hoping that it was returning a good mileage, now since the vehicle is running in city alone for past 10 months, I gave a shot to check the mileage and am concerned about it now.

Re: Hyundai i10 irde2 - mileage in CITY 12/lit - Please share yours

I used to have Hyundai i10 irde2 which was also purchased during 2013, it has auto gas (LPG) also. It also ran for 19K KMS till Dec 2015. I generally use it on LPG and I used to get mileage as below
LPG -
City - 10 to 11 KMPL with AC
Highway – 14 to 15 KMPL with AC
Petrol
City - 12 to 13 KMPL with AC
Highway - 18 to 19 KMPL with AC

For i10 petrol mileage, 12 KMPL in city is decent and nothing to worry.
I loved my i10 a lot, particularly when using with LPG, but December 2nd 2015 was my last ride in it.[sad]

Oh Thank you Bro. Yes, i10 is really fun to drive in city, really peppy. Let me check the mileage on highway and revert.

That seems to be standard for IRDE2. I know people who don't get above 10 in the city with ac and the i10 petrol mileage hasn't increased despite repeated visits to the service center. A few people do get 13-14 i have heard but its pretty uncommon . So i guess i would be happy with 12.

Well earlier I had I10 exchanged for grand i10 in Dec. 2015.
I10
City 11-13
Highway 15-16

As my grand i10 is a cng variant
On petrol
City 12-13
Highway 16-17

On CNG
City 16-18
Highway 20-22.
I usually drive with a light foot. No harsh acceleration.

Hyundai Grand i10 mileage

Hello Everyone,
I have been observing mileage of my 4800 KMs driven Grand i10, positively it's getting better with every tankful, I am using drivo app to calculate mileage and other expenses. so here are the satistics:
First 1500 KMs : 13 KMPL
1500 KMs to 3100 KMs: 14.7 KMPL
3100 KMs to 3900 KMs: 15 KMPL
3900 to 4400 KMs: 15.8 KMPL
4400 to 4800 KMs: 16.5 KMPL
Driving conditions: 38 KMs in light traffic, 14 KMs in heavy traffic everyday (Mon to Fri).
I don't use clutch unless there is very heavy stop & go traffic, rather downshift b/w 2nd and 1st gear and often test the lowest torque (6 KMPH Speed).
AC is used intermittently.
I don't skip any opportunity to upshift to 5th gear, but the moment speedometer goes to 50 KMPH, 5th gear is triggered right without delay, All efforts to keep the revv between 1000 to 2500 RPM fructifies into better mileage. I would like to know from you "Kitna deti he" ?[:D]
