Re: FE and User Reviews

Vehicle : Figo
Fuel : Diesel
Calculation Method: Tankfull Method
City Mileage: 12-13 (A/C: 90%)
Highway Mileage: 16-18 (A/C: 100% | Speed: 100-120)

BTW, I was getting about 16-17 while I was in Pune. Guess, shouldn't expect beyond 12-13 in Bangalore[frustration]

* Method : MID
( With AC on).
@ Toyoubala - You have MID in Figo??? If you have calculated using DTE, then it isn't correct. Try Tankfull Method and get surprised... :)

@anup
:agree:that's true but the problem is if you are having heat waves blowing outside to bake you up then you don't have any choice left but to sit in your car only and that too with AC.
As far as lane is concerned i have always noticed people going to the closed gates from all directions and watching the drivers in leftlane as if they are fools(they don't see the right lane empty and just wasting time standing in leftlane)[anger]
Yeah I can imagine, this is a very irritating experience, wastes a lot of unecessary time, wish there were Traffic cops manning these places like-in a signal, wish people get a little bit considerate towards lane discipline to make life easier. [:)]

I would suggest you do the tankful to tankful method. This one is not accurate.

It is not necessary you have to fill the entire 45 litres at a time. Just fill it once and after that, refill whenever the meter comes to the half mark. that way, you just have to fill about 20 litres. And the readings will be accurate.

By the way, it does not matter whether you fill it Rs. 500 worth of fuel or full tank worth Rs. 2000. You car will drink the same amount of fuel! Infact you can save the frequent trips to the fuel bunk.
Yeah buddy tried the TF-TF method, and its the same, touch wood both for city & highway too, made a trip to Kashid beach recently. Yeah car drinks the same amount of fuel, thanks for the valuable suggestion, but when I have a fuel pump just a stone throw distance from my home & workplace, so don't wanna have the extra fuel load unless I'm going out of town. One more tip is to fill early in the morning/late evening due to the 'temperature low-more density' of fuel etc. reason which is well known to everyone, even avoids the irritating rush at these pumps .
