And the drive starts now.

Have we packed all that we need, considered all that we should have, contacted people we should have and many other questions constantly bang around the head. However, knowing that we are going out there to make new friends, explore new countries and experience new cultures make up for all the anxieties. 2 hours to go.

Cochin to London Road Trip - 2 Continents, 27 countries, 24000kms, 75 days !

3 people driving from Cochin to London [surprise]!! I can't even imagine how adventurous the drive would be. [roll][clap]

Malayalam film director Lal Jose, automobile journalist Baiju N Nair and former General Manager of Dubai Ports Suresh Joseph, today embarked on a 75-day road trip to London from Kochi. The trip was flagged-off by Malayalam film actors Anoop Menon and Namitha Pramod.

The three member team would be covering 24,000 kilometers in 75 days. They would be travelling through 27 countries which are in two different continents. Their purpose of undertaking the journey was to carry messages of world peace with the slogan ‘Good will knows no boundaries’.

The Indian stretch includes Bangalore, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Jabalpur and Gorakhpur. They will enter Nepal and then cross over to Tibet, where they will visit the base camp of Mount Everest and Lhasa, from where the journey will take them to Europe through China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Russia.

In Europe they will drive through Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Ireland and reach London.

Kochi: “Kochi to London – A road trip” is not the name of Lal Jose’s upcoming movie, but he is definitely associated with it. The three member team will be starting a road trip to London on June 16th from Kochi.
Suresh Joseph, Lal Jose and Biju Nair would be covering 24,000 kilometers in 75 days. They would be travelling through 27 countries which are in two different continents. Visa processing and most of the major hurdles are already done and the team is now all set for the trip.

Planned Route:
India – Nepal – China – Kyrgyzstan – Kazakhstan – Russia – Estonia – Finland – Latvia – Lithuania – Poland – Czech Republic – Austria – Slovakia – Hungary – Slovenia – Italy – Switzerland – Germany – Denmark – Sweden – Norway – Netherlands – Belgium – France – UK – Ireland – London

High-end cars were out of questions due to budget constraints. This Endeavour is also a second-hand but was in immaculate condition (Can't vouch for it now :smile:).
