Re: Ford Figo Titanium Diamond White Initial Ownership Experience

@Brandoo:
Congrats for the buy,wishing you happy mile munching.
Ford Figo is a brilliant blend of ride and comfort with the sportiness of the brilliant handling.
The variant you chose is a really very wise choice,instead of going for a low end car you got a 'Titanium' variant which comes equipped with ABS and airbags.Hoping they will never come in use.

Only thing missing is all 4 power windows,but they are not a matter of concern.

ONCE AGAIN,CONGRATS..:kewlpics:

Re: Ford Figo Titanium Diamond White Initial Ownership Experience

@TSIVipul,
Thnx buddy, with regard to power window, I have my reasoning behind the omission by the FORD, rear wheel arch is very muscular. This stops complete roll down of windows. Had it been power, we/rear passenger would have pressed switch for longer duration (hoping that it will roll down further), this in turn might have resulted in ele. failure.

So far I have never used the rear windows. Lets see what holds in the future. [:)]

Congratulation Brandoo.

Well how about giving details about the OTR, alloys etc. I am waiting.
Shailinder:
OTR Delhi: 6.23 L

This includes:
1. Anti Rust coating (got two good coats and resultant very good noise insulation)
2. Parking sensor: Reverse: Four in number, audio and small screen, very effective though
3. Titanium Kit: Alloys, Seat Covers, fog lamps, side beading
4. Insurance: National Insurance (Comprehensive)
5. RTO:
6. Mud Flaps, floor mats (complete car including boot)

Note: On finding dealer's margin of 1 L per car, my heart sank.

Is that true? 1 Lac margin on a 6 lacs car. That is a lot [surprise]

Yes this is fact though.

Ford billed car to dealer at 4.09 L where as ex showroom price was 5.49 L.
Add Vat/ service tax on 4.09 L to the tune of 12% or so. This brings car's price at 4.5 approx for dealer and rest is his margin.

Hey what does Anti-rust coating has to do with noise insulation? If the dealer said so then he is a noob! AFAIK Anti-rust coating is done on the underbody to prevent corrosion.

Whoa that's SOME margin for a small car like Figo! Wonder how much will be the margin for the costlier cars!

@Brandoo:
i am not at all surprised to know about the margin of 1 lac on a 6 lacs car,why?I knew this from some last four years about the margin on many cars which seems to be unbelievable,even the Alto has about 35-40k margin.
JUST SEE THE EFFECT OF A HOT SELLING CAR,SUCH HIGH MARGIN BUT NO DISCOUNTS..[sad]..anyways,just forget it and enjoy the beauty..[drive]

No this isn't told by dealer but I have experienced it personally. Logically plastic coating softens the impact and extra coating provide insulation. This is my logic which might be wrong.
