Fiat owners and Fiat fans received personal invite from Team Vecto to be part of their Fiat exclusive showroom inauguration ceremony. Here is the snapshot of events that happened at Vecto (Prerana) exclusive Fiat dealership.

I would like to start off by thanking team Vecto for fantastic hospitality shown. Vecto & Fiat made us feel definitely special.

  • A big positive for Vecto: its a 3 S facility. So sales, service & spares are all under one roof.
  • Its located btw Electronic city & Silk board junction which is hub of almost all major automobile showrooms.
  • Inauguration happened exactly at 11.30AM, ribbon cut and we all went inside.
  • Nice view, the showroom is spacious and it has 2 floors, upper floor had all the display cars.
  • Folllowing Fiat officials were present: 1. Premanand Shenoy (MD, Prerna Motors) 2. Enrico Atanasio 3. Nagesh 4. Ravi Bhatia 5. Marius (Communication head)
  • Mr Enrico and others lighted the candles and Mr Enrico gave small speech, re-enforcing his commitment about Fiat's future in India.
  • There were few "official" media persons, they asked few questions.
  • Then Enrico and others handed over 4 customers their Car's Key. Lucky customers to have got car key from Mr Enrico himself.
  • Mr Adit (from KHT Fiat motors) and Mr Francis (Aadya Fiat motors) were also present.
  • Mr. Enrico had a Q&A session with Bangalore Fiat enthusiast
  • 2013 will be year of network set-up and launch of Jeep and Abarth brand in India.
  • 2014 will be year of Fiat's new models and major facelifts.
  • 2015 and beyond will be time to localize Jeeps and penetrate the market.
  • T-Jet will be re-launched in April 2013, there will be more variants and Fiat is trying to keep pricing low to increase sales. May be there will be multiple variants of T-Jets.
  • Once the new Linea will be launched in 2014, current Linea will be called "Classics" and pricing will be reduced further. So there will be less costly Linea and there will be little costly Linea as well.
  • From 1st April 2013, we will see new Fiat India ads.
  • The call-center is getting revamped, and the experience of calling Fiat customer care will be much-much improved. May be existing owners will get calls after 1st April.
  • The event ended with a fabulous lunch hosted by team Vecto

Re: Vecto (Prerana), Blore exclusive FIAT 3Ss - Inauguration coverage

Thank you for sharing this nice inauguration Carfreak, it was nice reading and we learnt fiat's plans further in India, with the Jeep and Abarth brands coming to India, it is surely an amusement for car enthusiasts and modernization in the auto-scene of our country.

Now the show-room looks big and fiat again has got a chance to play in the country, let us see in the coming months of how they play further. [:)]

Good job Fiat India. This is what they needed to do much before, but as they say, better late than never.

Thanks for the exclusive coverage of the event Carfreak[thumbsup].

Great to know that Fiat has not given up the hopes of re-establishment in India. The strategies mentioned look good enough to make a grand comeback. The company already has the correct products, its just the trust which has to be brought to the minds of Indians.

Welcome Akash, its my pleasure to share any auto news with fellow TAIans. Yes, the strategies have been laid out, plans are establised. Hope the marketing team wakes up from slumber and reaches out common public in an effecitve way.

One thing worth mentioning was the honesty with which Mr. Enrico (MD Fiat India) spoke to Fiat enthusiast. He was ready to accept the flips which occurred in the past and did not try to brush aside the concern. Like with Palio & Uno owners, he had a detailed discussion about the concerns that is bothering them and did not try to sugar coat his sentences.

Thanks for sharing, 2 showrooms for Bangalore should serve the market well for now, I just hope Fiat realizes how important it is to train the service engineer's well.

Third Fiat exclusive showroom will be coming up shortly on Kormangla - Domlur OTR. This time its KHT Motors. This showroom will host Fiat Cafe as well [:D]
You really have to applaud these dealers for their courage who invest crores of rupees on Fiat dealership who is currently running only 2 slow selling products.

Dont we think 2 showrooms are more than enough for Fiat in Bangalore.
Fiat's Sales figures for Feb 13-
Punto - 160
Linea - 42

What people need are more service centers and not showrooms.

Visran, I agree. I have interacted with all the 3 dealers and have to admit that these people are Fiat fans to the core. The passion with which these people interact is something to be witnessed. I know KHT guy personally and he is one amazing auto freak! Thats the reason he is keen on getting South India's first Fiat Caffe to Bangalore

Please do read the above posts. All 3 exclusive Fiat showrooms have their own service centre capabilities. Vecto would be starting to service in couple of weeks from now, Aadya would do sometime post March and KHT, once their Fiat Cafe cum showroom is opened.

Hi Carfreak, you are correct all 3 new centres will have the service facilities. But what I meant was exclusive mini service stations across the city for benefit of existing owners. No one wants to travel 20+ km to get his vehicle serviced if something is there within 2-3km radius.

Costing of setting up a service centre must be lower that setting a 3S facility.

Cheers,
Anshuman

Thanks Dharmesh and also to other TAI members who helped in closing on decision to buy this great vehicle (was off the forum all the time after buying it though as went through troubles on various fronts, hope to recover).

I agree, FIAT has to bring in more models, the gap between Alto and Figo will be a good target.
