This is my very own petrol Uno. In fact the RC book is still in my name. The guy who bought it never transferred to his name. So officially it's still a single owner car. The mechanicals are still perfect. Just needs a cosmetic makeover and a service.

Bought it for 3.24 L in 1997. Sold it for 70K in 2005. Bought it back today for 15K.

Are the Fiat Uno part's freely available in Goan market?

They are available at the Tata dealers.

I wonder that are you guys playing lost and found .May be you will pick up your own Siena again.

Not really. This was my first car. That's why the attachment. The car is a great handler. Maybe an engine swap is on the cards.

I will once the job starts. Currently the mechanic has 2 cars to complete, in addition to his duties at the temple.

Congratulations Peter. I’m not surprised because it’s a Fiat but I’m surprised because you have managed to get back the Uno. Hopefully it’s going to be more than just a stop gap car now. I look forward a separate ownership thread. It will be interesting to read about the restoration process.

but I’m surprised because you have managed to get back the Uno.

I actually kept in touch with the guy who bought it. In fact I'm still in touch with the new owners of all my ex-vehicles except the RX 100. I was just chatting with the guy who bought my Uno and he mentioned that he was not using it anymore since he had upgraded to an i20. I told him I was interested. He just said give me anything you want and take it. Saved him the trouble of the paperwork.

Hopefully it’s going to be more than just a stop gap car now.

Yea. More like a "Fill the Gap" car.

I look forward a separate ownership thread. It will be interesting to read about the restoration process.

I will try my best to document everything.
