I have seen a couple of cars with Temp. HR-99 number plates. Any idea what is that?

That's the temporary series for Haryana. All temporary registrations in Haryana will be from the HR-99 Series.

The West Bengal RTAs have the following registration mark/s :

Earlier it was series of A-Z, from late 2011 it has started AA-ZZ

It seems the number of RTO districts in Delhi has increased from 13 to 18. It now includes NCR regions as well. Sharing this updated list from Wikipedia.

> DL-14: Sonipat due to the NCR, effectively situated in Haryana

> DL-15: Gurgaon due to the NCR, effectively situated in Haryana

> DL-16: Faridabad due to the NCR, effectively situated in Haryana

> DL-17: Noida due to the NCR, effectively situated in Uttar Pradesh

> DL-18: Ghaziabad due to the NCR, effectively situated in Uttar Pradesh

Yup. Probably that’s what it means. UP 16 is now DL 17 and HR 26 is now DL 15.

OD is being used for Orissa instead of OR since last year.

2 Days ago when I was on my way to office in the morning saw this Force Traveller with two different registration numbers on the road. Can any body make some light on that.
Is it possible to have two different registration numbers in any case.

Nope. It happens only in India. On a serious note, I believe the MP number must be temporary because:

> MP-11-TR suggests the same.

> Force Motors manufactures its vehicles in Madhya Pradesh (Pithampur to be precise which is MP-11).

Perhaps the dealer / owner didn't bother removing the temporary registration sticker after the vehicle received Delhi registration.

Yes I believe that two, but I think temporary number are valid for one month or so and by vehicle condition its was not new at all. You can see the rust marks on the ladder and the roof.

Yes indeed it was TR no. The owner is too lazy to peel off that sticker.

Ooty in TamilNadu has TN 43 and Gudalur is TN 43 Z, TN 43 Y goes reverse.
Old registration were TNN and the very first initial regn were MDN.

I have vehicles in TNN, TN 43 B, TN 43 D, TN 43 F.

Since Australia doesnt have a code system like India, lets just stick to the latter.

My grandfathers Kinetic Honda has a PB-05 rego - Ferozepur (My grandfather was a GM he moved alot through Punjab - bought the scooter 16 years ago, still there.

Rest of the cars/scooters have a PB-11 rego - Patiala
