Guys,

Need some inputs in DIY Projector Fog lamps for my Nissan Sunny.

Background:
- OE fog lamps in Nissan Sunny aren't inspiring.
- Thought of bulb upgrading (OE: H11 12V 55W)
- Later decided to go with Projector setup which will give a better light spread and a bit of improved looks
- Don't want a projector Head lamp (Sunny doesn't look great with projector HLs)

Requirements:
- Shouldn't be an LED (I'm not satisfied with the 12V 10W LED projector fog lamps)
- Angel eyes aren't a mandatory requirement, but if they are present I don't mind using them
- Budget: 4k
- Doesn't need to be branded ones

What came into my mind is,
- Get a pair of 2"~3" Bi-xenon HIDs with angel eyes
- Fix them in the place of Fog lamps
- Connect the angel eyes to Parking lamp (I'm not a fan of DRLs)
- Have a 2-way switch inside cabin (powered from the Fog lamp connection) to toggle between Low & High beams.

With this setup I can manage the night drives in City with Projector low beams itself (50% of my ride will be on nights)

All that I need from you guys is
- perfect & economic source of projectors
- suggestions on brand
- care points / improvement suggestions if any

hi ,
I am Prasanth from Cbe
I own wagnon r stingray
I upgraded my projectors with autonix 6000k hid kit 35w
Results where mind blowing
you can visit my ownership review where i did have snaps of output of hid

http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/ownership-reviews/17403-maruti-suzuki-wagon-r-stingray-ownership-review.html

Leds are just for drl use
If u want true output hid us the one
My important advice dont use Hid in fog lamps its really waste
How high the light is mounted that much spread you will get.
Also in rainy seasons foglamps get wet often hids work on 25000volts :(
Please dont use in fog lamps

Final conclusion
Go for bi xenon projector kit with high low beam cuttoff
Will be great
Even if cops attack you ,you can boldly claim is a low beam with cutoff as BMW and audi have

Hid kit try autonix in ebay cool stuffs

LEDs were strictly ruled out.

IMO Projector HLs don't go well with Sunny, not a fan of that looks (specific to Sunny)

I dont think its possible to fix an aftermarket projector in the fog lights. Size difference will surely come. Also some cutting might be required.

The only option is to put HIDs in the fog light. Or if its only in the highways you can use an LED light bar.

Please check out the Hella Micro DE fog lamps. They are 35W halogend inside projector housings. Costs about Rs.5500-6000/- for a pair. Box comes with clamps, screws, etc.
IMO they are the ideal fog lamp replacement.
Lots of good reviews(international) about the product. Also watch youtube videos [;)]

Let me know about your opinion about the product.

Edit: Hella Micro DE fog lamps comes with 55W H3 bulbs.
Thanks buddy. This thread was dead for more than a year. Blame my tight schedule, mostly occupied with Bikes. I'm not dropping this idea any how, let me try on my other car and then fix it in Sunny. Thanks again

Dear OP,
If you are still open to options,
I shall suggest going through the following threads-

http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...ed-headlight-conversion-bulbs-cars-bikes.html

LED bulbs have evolved by leaps and bounds and offer a simpler, No Fuss method.

Other route would be to go HID-

Thrid option is to go for a high beam assist Lamp, Like here-
