Digital Thermometer on Alto (Engine Temperature)

Hi all,
my alto did not have temperature gauge, (equipped only with temperature warning indicator).
So I fix this on extra din space. Sensor fixed in to small hole space on engine head.
check the pictures.


It cost 1500/- SLR.

Great DIY work buddy. The hole in which the sensor was fitted was provided by the factory or you had to fabricate it? Please share some WIP pics.

I'll post another pics.

1). 12 v supplied by nearest cigarette lighter connection.
2). Did not change anything in the engine, sensor probe just place in the existing hole.
4). Display unit placed by making cut in existing DIN space.
3). It is available on ebay.com search "digital car thermometer"

Do we have black color too ?

and 1500/- is way too much for a thermometre !

1500/- sri lankan rupees.
this is digital thermometer and it disply -24C to 125C without burning the sensor.
i did not find any cheaper one in here with wider range.

i think no black color.
but please check ebay.com

BTW where is the sensor fitted ? Engine head cap, I guess the temperature inside the engine would be more than the head cover.

What is the purpose this? @Varun is this similar to one you already have in your car?
