i did my pdi every thing went fine.
as RSM suggested i checked the odo and it had h in mid and was run for 32km.
only one problem was the panel gap in glove box and near keyhole its still an eyesore.

had a twist in my booking
I had done pdi on a car which sales person told me was alloted to me but after pdi he called me and told me that the other car was invoiced to other person so that if you are ok if you were alloted a new vehicle
I hesitated but as the procedure was long i agreed upon a new car

I did the pdi and was satisfied with it.(i dinnt get to drive the vehicle)
Overall the panel gaps near the key hole was lot better than the previous model
and the globe box alingnment was still bad.

The new vin is

Maruti vin decoding info

hi mr wildon,
well my first question to a senior member since my joining the forum.i am about to buy swift LDI(diesel) 2011 model .i would like to know what should be the last 2 digits (after the 17 digit vin number),which i should look out for if i wish to have 2011 manufactured vehicle.someone told me the easiest way to confirm it in maruti vehicles for a layman like me is to see for 06 or 07 or 09 on the glass pane implying manufactured in 2006,2007 or 2009 respectively.waiting eagerly for your reply.thanks in advance mr wildon.

AB = January 2011
BB = February 2011
CB = March 2011
DB = April 2011
EB = May 2011
FB = June 2011
GB = July 2011
HB = August 2011
JB = September 2011
KB = October 2011
LB = November 2011
MB = December 2011

Don't consider the number you see in the glass , its just the month/year of manufacturing of Glass.

Sorry No information about this VIN for getting the Date of manufacturing. But its a October 2010 manufactured vehicle as per normal decoding procedure.
