Re: Datsun Go+ Review & Pictures: Extended Car-Go

I too agree with "AceChip". Some more predefined safety standards should be defined by ARAI & Govt. Authorities for vehicle design. Like the Crumple Zone, ABS+Dual Airbag, Power Steering, Seat-belt pretensions, ESP [traction control] as standard features.

According to me there should not be more than 2 variant in one type of Car.
For example : Consider MS Swift should have a Customized variant and one standard variant.

For customized variant all above should be there and features like A/V system, reverse parking sensor/camera, chrome, leather seats, alloy wheel, remote lock etc. accessories that can be added to vehicle aesthetics must not be there. So the buyer can customized on there own or else would buy a standard all featured car.

I have always wondered who is Go+ targeted at?

Urban: Definitely no. Looks could be subjective, but. It is a small car for 7 (even 6) passengers. Ok, I agree Ertiga is not a looker, but it has a good appeal.
Rural: With that pricing, looks like it. But with their network being thin, what are they playing here?

To me, it looks like they want to showcase they capabilities & in the long run may be Go+ will fetch orders like Ertiga does for Maruti.

Unlimited mileage is very new in India. I am sure it will be abused. Why isn't it selling like hot cakes in the taxi segment?
