Guys what is the amount you are paying for PUC renewal.
Applies to both Petrol & diesel vehicles.

And are they doing the job perfectly.
I have seen here in Bangalore, they just enter the reading manually.
How can one know that the Certification centre is doing the PUC correctly.

Recently for Hawk i paid 120 Rs.
for 6 Months.

I paid 80 INR for my i10 in sep 10. The guy was quite casual in his work. There is no control that they register the data and show it off to RTO afterwards.

Hence you see all auto rikshaws and local buses with lots of smoke.

I had renewed my car’s pollution under control certificate recently. The check up is usually performed thoroughly and they charge Rs.45 for cars. This certificate is valid upto three months.

I pay Rs 30 for my bike for 6 months. He manually enters the figures and the reg. number.[shock]
For Diesel Car; to be frank; we have not yet done any PUC for our DZire till now.[evil]

Here also, it costs Rs. 30 for my bike. But the situation is pretty pathetic. He just ask my bike model and regn. no. and gives me the PUC. He doesnt bother to even look at my bike[lol].

They charge 80 for petrol cars. I wish the validity is extended to 6 months.

Its boring task to do it 4 times a year

And should we have the PUC certificate for new vehicles too?

No need of PUC certificate for the 1st year.
As the Manufacturer guarantees that the vehicle is Non Polluting.

Even i have no idea, Why validity is different among states.

Here in Bangalore Petrol Cars are charged for 50 Rs.
2 Wheelers 30 Rs/- , All for 6 months.

How much do you pay for Pollution Under Control certificate.

Here in kerala(kothamangalam) Rs 70 for cars and Rs 50 for bikes with 6 months validity.

I have a doubt that ,Do our government vehicles too need a PUC?

Guess, Delhi has the shortest validity (3 Months only). And yes, it’s true that you don’t need to get PUC for brand new cars / bikes.

Yes sure. Why not?
