I somehow feel the front engine one doesn't look like a foreign players bus! maybe its cause of the extensive testing being done. I am more inclined towards the rear engine counterparts the Volvo & Benz single axle & multi-axle

But Fully built Front Engined Bus isn't doing well in India.What would be the cost?

It's the Volvo 7700 being tested.Can easily make out that its Volvo by the Temp reg plate because Volvos Plant is in Kolar(KA).

Looks crappy. Seems it is being built in Indore on Tata or AL chassis.
And if MAN decides to compete with Tata or AL, then they will die a premature death for the simple reason that service network & spares matter a lot as such buses are run on tier 2/3 & town areas & not the metros, which see hell lot of Volvos & Mercs.

Volvo 9400px

This is India's best luxury bus till date, the 14.5m long 9400PX powered by the 11L, 370hp engine. Volvo also announced new safety features that will be present on all Volvo Coaches, Front Impact Protection and Front Under-run Protection (FUP).

Looks brilliant and will be a strong competitor to Merc; heard the news somewhere that it gives FE figures of 3.00kmpl, pretty good for a 11L Engine isn't it?

Saw this bus being road-tested today when i was going to my college, it was looking bigger than the B8R.

Bharath has unleashed all the vehicles from LDT to HDT which is going to be on sale in India:

Now that's something interesting.Tata and Daimler started together in India but now will compete with one another.Lets see how the market responds to Bharat Benz!!
