Looks big like i20 and smiler to cruse from front side, Rear lights are like Ritz [:)], the big question is engine specification for petrol and diesel.

Re: Coming Soon: Chevrolet SAIL

Its rear end immediately reminds me of Next-Gen Palio. Now that the hatch has been caught on the test, I think sedan (Aveo) will also follow the suit. From the dimensions, it appears as much spacious as existing UV-A. But let’s wait and watch.

These are spy pictures of Chevrolet’s upcoming Sail hatchback that will replace the Aveo U-VA in the Indian market.

The Sail hatchback looks striking from whichever angle you look at it. The design is well-executed and, like the saloon, its spacious interiors will be a selling point. It is likely to share the Beat’s 1.2-litre petrol engine, churning out 79bhp and 10.91kgm of torque, and will also get the 1.3-litre Fiat MultiJet engine within a year of its launch.

Costs will be kept low, thanks to the car sharing many components with the saloon. A sub-Rs 4-lakh base price should make it a very enticing option. Expect Chevrolet to showcase the Sail along with other models at the upcoming Auto Expo in Delhi.

Re: Coming Soon: Chevrolet SAIL

If the engine is indeed from Fiat then I might consider this as 2nd option, I like the overall looks of the car. Will wait for guys from the forum to TD it at the first opportunity they get

Re: Coming Soon: Chevrolet SAIL

The Chevrolet Sail is powered by a 1.2 Litre petrol engine that produces 81 BHP of power. The company will be adding the 1.3 Liter Fiat diesel engine to their portfolio in due course. The Sail measures an overall length of 3947mm, thus falling in the sub 4 metre category attracting excise benefits. The Sail has loads of interior space with a wheelbase of 2465mm. On the interior also, not is extra-ordinary yet not bad. The Sail is set to go on sale in mid 2012.
Exterior is better than the U-VA.

Re: Coming Soon: Chevrolet SAIL

^^ hey it looks very beautiful and has some decent sedan manners like the aveo, will sell much better when released in diesel engine because aveo still is loved by people for its cute sedan looks but was a turn down for the absence of diesel engine.
