Hey there guys ! My friend has a red color chevy beat. He got the car in 2012 march. Odo reads close to 40k now. Close to a year i guess, the car has been standing in the scorching sun from morning to evening daily. Now the car has lost it's sheen and brightness and the paint has become very dull. Now he wants to change the car's color to pure white (The kind of white you see in the BMWs and AUDIs). He is from Chennai. I will have the paint work done on his car since he doesn't have time to take the car to go. Now all the help i need from you guys is :
1.What will be the process like? i.e. The conversion from red to white color. Will they be scraping the red paint and apply new paint or just spray the white paint over the red paint and all other coating stuff etc.
2.How much will it totally cost?
3.Some really good paint shops in chennai (Preferably in an around anna nagar and mogappair ) But other locations also okay for us.
4. A few pointers about what to expect and what to talk to the car painting guy
5. How much time will the whole process take ?
