Thanks Zinam at that time i was not eligible to drive a car , he was around 45 at that time and used to get tired for this itself! So if we go for any trip now we can exchange driving and can cover long distances!

Now a days roads are say like pucca , so you will not find any difficult

we have done from gujarat(jetput , near rajkot) to tamil nadu(nagapattinam). It was about 5 days . It was some 13 years back. 2 drivers , dad and one hired driver.

Every thing is so exactly said by auto hub. Good points man.

Regarding the Lamps , fix it between the headlamps as in rally , look in my orkut album . Now i have removed them

Fix yellow ones, they help a lot.

Go with 2 drivers . It helps to cover a lot of distance

Once i have driven 2 nights continuously , It was the most risky part . at around 2nd night when a bus overtakes me the bus number plate was still in my eyes but the bus has went some more distance ahead. Strange situation , You don't take the risk. Some how i managed to drive home in that condition itself to home in 3 hours again without any break. My eyes were so heavy and i was in worse condition.

Every one of my friend scolded for this. So from my experience take rest and drive. Mine was 38hour continuous.

Some of my friends advised me to take redbull in this condition. I have taken it so far , Dont know about its effects too. Any doctors here, please throw light on this energy drinks!

I am not a doctor but the energy drinks do help. But Zinam dont stress yourself to much. Even i stresssed myself too much when i toured from Nagpur to Hyderabad and then to pune. Stress just hampers the magical drive. So do halt when you feel tired, carry energy drink if you like them, otherwise tea always serves the purpose.

When are you planning for the drive Zinam?

I'll be free after 7th Jan and was thinking to drive to the Delhi Auto Expo.
I've not confirmed my plans.I may be driving or maybe taking a flight.
If you are going by on the same time, I'll be happy to join with my zen.
I don't feel like driving alone on such a long journey

If its the machine which has to be put on test then taking an person who can drive with you is always a better option.

I had done this with my Tata Sierra last Aug . From Abhor to Pune (Abhor -Chandigarh - Delhi -Jaipur- Chithod - Nasik- Pune)

I have done this with my Sierra driven almost Continious.

I have done Bangalore delhi - only 1 advice DONOT GO VIA MP. the agra mumbai road is bad go via bangalore - mumbai - gujarat rajasthan - delhi

the roads in gujarat fm mumbai are still being relaid but still worth it
