I obtained NOC from RTO Bangalore to shift my car to Chennai but find that the chassis number has been recorded wrongly in both RC and the NOC. Can the RTO in Chennai register the vehicle in Chennai and incorporate the correct chassis number as evidenced by chassis pencil print, original vehicle invoice and physical inspection of the chassis number of the vehicle.?
If there is no alternative but to cancel the NOC at Bangalore, will the original registration hold good or the vehicle has to be registered again in Bangalore by paying road tax and charges? What are the penalties if any , if NOC is to be cancelled?
