Hi,

My 30000 kms second paid service is due. I want a good engine oil (for petrol engine) for i10 automatic.

I have shortlisted Castrol magnatec and shell helix X7.

Both are 10W 40 grade oils.

Are these good enough? Right choice?

Went in for Shell Helix HX7 this time. No difference at all till now. On Thursday I will be changing my automatic transmission oil ( didn't do it y'day as Hyundai didn't had it in stock).

shell helix ultra group buy.

I was talking to my supplier and he offered me a great price on shell helix ultra if I pick up 100 litres I could get it at a price of 710 per litre. I thought if ee could round up enough people who want to use synthetic oil for their cars this would be a great deal.

I have been using Mobil One (full synthetic) and Super S 2000 (semi) for more that 45k kms with no problem, low oil consumption and really nice cleansing characteristics, my cylinder head is very clean, but I have not used shell helix in engine to compare..

Both oils are Semi-Synthetic so any of the the two are good ones.

Shell Helix Ultra is 100% Synthetic and more expensive. I am pretty sure your car is OK with the Semi-Synthetic oil.

Good luck,

Isaac
