I own a wagonr for past 4 years. The current audio setup is sony headunit with 4inch sony speakers in the front and 4 way sony coaxial speaker in the rear.

Of lately iam not satisifed with the sound and iam looking for upgrades and i wish to add a subwoofer and amplifier to my exisiting setup.

My budget is 15k, of course i can extend it by few thousands for a decent upgrade.

So please suggest me a upgrade for my current setup?

Do i need to modify my current setup or can i add on the sub and amp to exisiting setup?

[confused]

You can add an amp & sub to the current setup but I doubt you will be very happy with the output.

I will recommend you to change the front 4" speakers to 6" components atleast.

Your ideal setup can be like this -

Existing sony head unit
New JBL comps in front (Rs. 4000/-)
Existing Sony co-axial in rear
New JBL 4 channel amp (Rs. 5000/-)
New JBL sub (Rs. 5000/-)
Wiring - Rs. 1000/-

This will come in your budget. Prices are approximate.

After a few months, upgrade your head unit to a Pioneer unit & you are done!

Yes +1 Raj's suggestion. You can very well have a sub-woofer with a co-axial at rear.

If your Sony HU is a new model with 3 RCA output then you can retain it also , else buy a good HU preferably Pioneer if you are short on budget.
