Buying a New Laptop

atom processors are slow and due to this the prices are lower.

I think you can go for Hp530 its cheap and suited best for your entertainment purpose also it has long durability.

Hello TAIgers, I am planning to buy a laptop for personal use, preferably in 30-35K price range. I wish to have OEM installed Windows 10, i3 processor (2Ghz+, 5/6 Gen), 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD. I am looking for a 14" screen as 15+" is too bulky for my liking (unfortunately most models available are 15" or more). I will be using it only for MS Office, internet browsing and some minimal multimedia. So I think on-board graphics will be good enough for me. Is it possible to have a full HD display at this price range?. How about Lenovo G40-80 and HP 14 AC-108TU?. Please give your valuable suggestions ASAP as I am looking for an immediate buy!.

PS: My 2010 Dell Inspiron laptop had 2.13Ghz clock-speed core i3 processor. Why it is only 1.7-2.2 Ghz in most models nowadays?. This has got anything to do with the generation of processors (just like the latest generation of Android OS takes lesser RAM usage) or the cache MB size?.
