Front brake pads were loose making annoying shaking sounds even in uneven roads, worse in potholed roads. SVC simply says to replaced the caliper, but all individual parts are available. Ordered them from indiaspares.in. Shipping charge is nominal for upto 1 kg and a fixed max parcel size. Sent via IndiaPost, which was unpredictable, tracking did not work, but reached in 10 days.

Hi ,

Myself Arun, I own an FZ16 bought in 2009 January. I have been using Michelin 100/80/17 in the front and 140/70/R17 in the rear. I have a question here , did you have to modify anything when you upgraded to a 110 section tire? I visited a Michelin dealer today ,per him I cannot use 110 section tire at the front as the tire may touch the side walls of the mudguard. Please advise how can I fit 110 section tire on my FZ16.

Lock set was shaking for a while due to loose bolt.

Needs tamper resistant/security Torx key for that.

There was lot of vertical play with the old one, causing too much clutch play and jamming on pass light switch.

Back to Yamaha Sporty Premium Full Synthetic 10W40. Did not try after valve replacement. Yamaha started manufacturing on their own, not by Tide Water now. There is a flat drop of ₹ 50.00 making it one of the most affordable full synthetics. This one is way smoother comparing Shell Mineral. Shifts smoothly. Less vibes at 4.5k rpm.

Yamalube Sporty Premium 10W40 - 909793AD41100 - ₹ 405.00

Oil level is still dropping, but decreased very much after valve change. Got 750 mL of Shell Mineral after 2.5k km.

Wow nice work bro. What about the condition of the bore cylinder and piston, rings etc..? Is the bore piston is still stock even after more than 1lakh kms.
TY

Bore and piston are still stock. Rings are first over size changed at 60k km. Doing fine with no loss in power. Oil level is dropping somehow, may be poor valve setting.

Ballast resistor for indicators. Flashers are load dependent and flash rate increases with low load (console light will stay on). Have to compensate with load to normalize flash rate. 10W resistor connects parallel to indicator connection. (Simpler is switching to electronic relay, its cheap, but annoyingly loud relay ticking).

150Ω 10W resistor

21k km and front sprocket worn out. Thanks to tighter slack [frustration]
Yamaha dealers won't sell single sprocket though they come and are billed individually. They want to sell as chain-sprocket kit only. Individual sprocket costs only ₹ 125.00. Just because of this, people ends up changing whole set, many of them prematurely like 8-12k km.

Searched whole city and found this one at Sree Vigneshwara Agencies at Jagathy. They had individual sprockets for almost all bikes (except the premium ones). Got Kiney exhaust from there before.

Zodix brand. Made in Ludhiana. Paid ₹ 50.00. Got 2 of them.

Hi
I'm shashank i own Yamaha fz v2 (fi version) and I want to install a free flow exhaust.
In your opinion which is good leo vince gp corsa or Daytona?
Since i don't no much about the modification.
So if I Install a FFE in my bike does it need any tuning or just plug and play process?
