I had my QUADRAJET INDICA VISTA serviced (20,000) km service at TASS. i have found that they use BARDAHL DIESELCOMBUSTION IMPROVER 200ml as additive (as per service bill) for me. i want to know if Quadrajet (CRDI) engines need any additives like this or will it harm the engine or turbocharger.

It will not harm the engine since bardhal is just a combustion booster. When mixed with diesel, bardhal increases the cetane value of diesel and prevents any possible unburn fuel escaping from the engine. This helps you to get more mileage and any possible misfiring in the engine which is actually healthy. Even hyundai adds Bardhal additive (optional) in the cars with CRDI engines.

I am using Iftex System-D since couple of months. Seems OK, however, can't guess any drastic difference in FE or Performance.
