Bajaj Auto Ltd is targeting sales of one million units of its motorbike brand, Pulsar, during the next financial year.

Speaking to reporters after the launch of the new Pulsar 135LS (Light Sport) motorbike, Mr Milind Bade, General Manager, Two Wheelers, Bajaj Auto, said the company is working at increasing its monthly sales of Pulsar from 50,000 units a month to 85,000 a month next year. We want to be the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world and we are traversing the path, he said.

The Pulsar also reached landmark sales of 2.5 million units today. The brand's new version has a four-valve engine and comes with DTS-i (Digital Twin Spark-ignition) technology. Commenting on the light sports bike performance in India, Mr Bade said that globally there is a huge movement towards sports bike and that the Indian market was gathering steam.

Bajaj Auto wants to be known as a serious motorbike player in the industry, according to Mr Bade. In response to a question on impact of small car launches on the two-wheeler market in the country, he said that there is no decline in customer demand and two-wheelers are not likely to be impacted by the small car.

This news really puts us to think what would be the future of Bajaj Auto.I dont think relying on their only model Pulsar and giving different hearts would really help bajaj to run their company.Seems too many launches with same hearts around really confused Bajaj's and they thought lets stick to pulsar now.[lol]
