Audi: Leader in The Luxury Car Segment

After a record sale in 2013 of 10,002 - a manufacturer achieving those figures for the first time in the luxury segment here. Audi repeats this feat in 2014.
Audi sold 10,851 units in 2014. Cloing the gap Marcedes has achieved a sales figure of 10,021 units. BMW has not yet released its numbers.
Both have announced an aggresive plan for 2015. It is a battle to be watched closely in 2015!

Both Audi and Merc are fighting it out, but surprised that BMW is not in the reckoning. They don't seem to be excited, no big launches recently, don't know about future launches. The BMW plant in Chennai has a capacity to churn out 11k units on a double shift basis, hence it is not that they cannot breach the 10K mark. Lets hope the competition intensifies with BMW coming into picture...

According to Forbes, there was a close fight to no.1 spot between Mercedes Benz USA and North American, BMW in luxury segment. Further, in 2014, BMW has sold 348,453 vehicles inclusive of associate brands.

Through 11 months of 2014, BMW of North America led at 348,453, including its BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce brands, according to AutoData.
