I recently purchased ANHC CVT from Bangalore, it has come with stock tyre of 175 65 R15 Goodyear tyres. I checked with few tyre vendors in bangalore and they are suggesting to upgrade to Michelin Energy 185 65 R15 compared to many sites which are suggesting Primacy ST 195/60 R15. I see that the diameter variation come about 2.14% if I opt for 185 65 R15. Should i be worry about additional pressure on suspension due to this? One of the vendor, Tyre Empire says no issues at all and they had done such modifications to more than 50 cars. I checked with HC sales, they are saying it is not a problem.. Still wondering about longevity and mileage drops. Any guidance here would be good.

Don't do it.
Otherwise warranty null and void.
Plus all the suspension and mileage issues that you mentioned.

The suspension and brakes bear a warranty for just 10000 kms. It will be a good upgrade to switch to 195/60/15 or (second choice) 185/165/15.

Hello,

Congratulations on buying a new car and welcome to Honda family. [clap]

185/65 r15 is 2.41% bigger then stock tyres whereas 195/60 r15 is +1.07% only. Both these tyres come under recommended upsize diameter of 3% so you will not have issues with suspension, brakes or related car parts. However some experts say; if you are upgrading wheels (i.e 6 or 6.5" wide) along with tyres then you can go upto 3% but if you want to retain OEM wheels then stay under 2% in diameter.

Since you will not change alloys, I would suggest 195/60 r15 and I have Michelin P3ST on my 09' ANHC VMT with no issues so far. If you wanna go for 185/65 r15 then Continental CC5 is very good. As of warranty, its best to contact ASC and ask if they are okay with tyre upsizing.

Thanks...
Best Regards
