Just came back from milan subway and inquired about tyres at Bombay tyres and Anand tyres.
I got quotes as follows:

Michelin XM1, size 175 --Rs 3050 each
Bridgestone Potenza GIII, size 185 --Rs 3200 each

They have ample of Plati alloys in stock ranging from 10k to 14k for a set of 4.
They also have some of BK Racing, Konig, Enkei, Lenso, Neo and Apollo.

13in ranges from 10k to 14k while 14in 15k and above

Inquired about Pioneer HUs
DEH-4190SD 2rca- 9k
DEH-P5190UB 3rca- 11.5k
6050- 8.5k
5050- 7.5k

Kenwood HUs
Kenwood KDCMP443 - 6.5k
Kenwood KDCMP543U - 7k

Kenwood amp 4ch - 6k
Thanks a ton Ronit.

and for the HU's go for pioneer only. drop kenwood. either 5050 or 6050 are good.
Thanks for the advice sriharsha, the HU's inquiry are for me [:D].
Can you give a reason why Kenwood has to be dropped??.
(i'm probably thinking of the 6050, just hoping the price goes down a bit.)

@Akash: yup already have plans for spoiler. BTW getting original honda vtec spoiler for Rs 1800/-(incl paint job). Should i go for it or hunt for more similar lookout spoilers?

@napster: Will i get wider rubber in potenza and for the very same price or have to shell out a bit more? My current set is 13" so will go for 14". Then shall alloys be kept to 13" or 14"?
Which combo will look nice?

@Renegade: My pleasure mate. It was a single ride with both of ours work done.

Buddy 1800/- for a genuine honda spoiler is a great deal. Go for it.The stock one (the one you mentioned) looks great on city. Also with the genuine one you wont have any fitting probs.

finally decided to go for 14" tyres.

All sets of 4 tyres:-
175-70-r13
Maxxis= 10k
Bridgestone= 12k

185-60-r14
JK= 13.6k

205-60-r14
Maxxis= 16k

195-60-r14
Michelin or Bridgestone 3.9k -4.5k

205-55-r15
Maxxis= 16.8k

My old tyres valued at 1.3k (not deducted from above)
i dont want to go for 15" but 14 seems idle so i guess 195-60-r14 should be the ideal match or will 185-60-r14 do good?

what you people suggest?

If the 195-60-r14 don't create any problems while turning the steering wheel complete then go for them.The wideness will add to the looks as well as the grip.

I would suggest you for looking into 15inch,Better Braking+Grip+comfort+ride quality+bling blibg :D

Correct Tyre upsize Reccomended for OHC:
185/55 R15
195/50 R15
205/50 R15

Tyres you can choose from
Maxxis MA Z1:Good for wet surfaces/braking/performance,ride little harsh
Yokohama S-Drive:Good for cornering/braking/comfort+performance not impressive for wet surfaces.ride quality smooth and soft
Micelin XM1 Energy:Expensive though will be good for grip/braking/comfort+performance/wet surfaces.ride quality smooth/soft and better cornering

Alloys you can have a choice from

Lenso
69 Racing Wheels
Plati
League
Konig
BM Racing

These days its the fashion is for Deep-lip type Alloys wheels which gives the car a Muscular look,would suggest so up some research+pricing and then go for it.

Rate approximation:

Alloys:Rs.15k-23k approx (set of 4)
Tyres:Rs.16k-18k approx (set of 4)

Hope this will help in deciding the correct upsize for your car and improve the handling and ride quality.Any more help just buzz me cheers!!!
