Finally decided to book New Amaze.

Though have couple of queries :-
Before booking itself, SA had allotted us Red VX MT i-dtec. According to him it was cancelled as customer had failed to pay. SA also said it landed in stockyard today itself.
I smell something is wrong as :-
1) Why will dealer offer a person who haven’t booked it?
2) Are they expecting to pay full amount before the car lands up? Also IMHO it takes at max 4-5 days for car to reach stockyard whereas the limit for payment is 10 days.
I have told them I will do PDI myself at their stockyard, though is it wise to hold on and pay a premium (Price Hike) and tell them to book Amaze in my first preferred colour?
Hi Gautam,
Congratulations for your new car.
Its better to wait and buy a car of your color choice, dont fall for their marketing tricks. Its common for SA to tell this old story of cancellation of car booking due to xyz reasons.

Honda to launch Amaze diesel CVT in top-spec VX trim soon

- Honda plans to introduce the new-gen Amaze diesel CVT in top-spec VX trim in India soon.

- Currently, the automatic CVT is only offered in the S and V variants of the Amaze.

- There is high demand for top-spec variants of Honda cars in the country.

Honda first showcased the new-gen Amaze at the 2018 Auto Expo. The compact sedan was launched in May and last month it became the first Honda to cross the 10,000 sales mark in a month. The Amaze debuted the first diesel CVT option in the country, however, it was available only in the mid-level S and V trims. Now, based on customer’s feedback, Honda is planning to introduce the diesel CVT option in top-spec VX variant of the Amaze.

According to Honda, there is plenty of demand for their top-of-the-line models. And as a result, the Japanese carmaker took steps to discontinue entry-level variants of its models and focus on the higher spec trims. The new-gen Amaze followed the same decision and garnered a lot of positive response from the customers. Currently, the Amaze has a waiting period of a month. But Honda wants to catch up with the demands and see through the monthly dispatch numbers in order to continue at current levels.

Adding the diesel CVT in top-spec VX trim will open up the portfolio for people willing to spend more for additional features in the compact sedan. The top-spec VX trim comes loaded with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice recognition and cruise control. The other features include reverse parking camera, steering mounted controls, voice command and one-touch windows with pinch guard. Given the inclusion of the CVT to the VX trim, these additional features will be combined with the convenience of a two-pedal setup.
