Mi Car Charger Pro 18W with dual-output fast charging launched in India

The new car charger could be considered the higher-end variant of the Mi car charger that the company launched back in December 2018. The Mi Car Charger also had dual USB ports for output. However, the old charger supported 18W fast charging only on one of the ports. The Mi Car Charger Pro, on the other hand, can charge devices at 18W on either of the ports.

The Xiaomi Mi Car Charger Pro 18W features dual-output fast charging support. Unlike the older model, you can now fast charge devices at 18W on either of the output ports. However, these devices will also need to support fast charging at 18W. However, this doesn’t mean you can charge two fast charge-enabled smartphones at once. The car charger doesn’t support simultaneous fast charging and only one device can be charged at 18W at a time.

Xiaomi crowdfunds the Carrobot Smart Head-Up Display with voice control

Head-Up Displays also known as HUD, is becoming increasingly common in all types of new cars, ranging from the Mazda3 to the BMW 7 Series, but what if you own a 2005 Toyota Corolla or any other older car? You won’t have to trade in your older model just to get one with a HUD from the factory. There are several aftermarket solutions let you modernize your current ride, some super affordable but others can tear a hole in your pocket.

Xiaomi, known for affordable quality products has launched a new Carrobot Smart HUD under the Youpin platform. In September last year, a Carrobot HUD Bluetooth version was launched on Xiaomi Youpin priced at 499 yuan (around $70). This version comes with the same 499 yuan price tag but after the crowdfunding exercise, the price will jack up to 699 yuan (~$98).

Blink Introduces Portable, Mobile EV Charger for Roadside Use

Blink has already rolled out the unit to roadside-assistance companies. The 240-volt AC charger holds up to 9.6 kilowatt-hours of electricity and charges at a rate of up to one mile per minute, according to Blink. The device is compatible with all vehicles, even Teslas, and is self-contained so it doesn’t need to be installed anywhere.

"Roadside assistance companies, insurance companies, auto manufacturers, and even credit card companies offer their members, customers, and cardholders roadside services. The Blink mobile EV charging station provides yet another valuable emergency service for its members and all EV drivers,” founder Michael D. Farkas said in a statement.

The mobile charger can be ordered networked, so customers can use their Blink accounts to pay for a charge, or off-network so roadside assistance companies can add emergency EV charging as a service for its members. Its price—starting at $6500—means this is a product for someone with a lot of EVs or someone who runs a roadside-assistance service. But then, if you're the kind of person who has a backup generator at home, a backup EV charger might be something you're willing to lay out cash for. After all, hypermiling challenges to get to a charger with only a few miles left on the battery don’t always work out.

Xiaomi launches its 10W Universal Wireless Car Charger, offers 10W wireless charging

Xiaomi has just launched its new 10W Universal Wireless Car Charger. It is capable of fast charging wirelessly up to 10W and is priced at 129 Yuan (roughly 18 US Dollars),

The new wireless car charger supports various devices that are compatible with the wireless charging technology and standard. This includes the Chinese tech giant’s 2020 flagship series, the Mi 10, and Mi 10 Pro. However, the device isn’t limited to just Xiaomi phones as it can also charge the Samsung Galaxy S10 and even the new iPhone SE 2020.

The Xiaomi wireless car charger also helps in navigation as it solves the problem of holding the phone or charging it via a USB cable once in the car. One can simply attach it to the 10W wireless charger with one hand and glance at directions with ease.

Yes, seems they are not yet listed on any online stores. Check with nearby car accessory shops if they have any of this new model available (Some time these big companies supply certain models only for online and some for offline sales

(when I purchased Blaupunkt long beach 970 model for my car, this model was not even listed in the company website. I doubted that the guys are supplying duplicate/Chinese items, but then came to know from the Blaupunkt support centre that this particular model is available only for offline sales hence not listed on their website)

Tewtross car bluetooth FM transmitter seems good and worth for the money, but two things not favouring it..

-Its a Chinese product (with the present scenario do we need to support Chinese products ?)
-If we have to plug this into car cigarette lighter port then we cannot use the dash cam connection

1. Customer is being given a Choice. Rest is up to you.
2. This can be solved with Dashcam hardwire kit, Which is basically a wired 5v USB supply. That leaves the Cig lighter free.
