Hello,

We need to buy a 15-20 Seat Vehicle for Office Staff Transportation.
Min 120km/day, it may also be 250km/day in future.
AC is required.
We would prefer CNG (Cheaper and less likely to be cheated by drivers/workers when compared to diesel).
We are not an transport company and want something that is easier to maintain and easier to drive.

All that comes to my mind is Force Traveller CNG 3050/4020 with AC addon.
How will be Force Traveller CNG (with AC) for us?
What alternatives should we consider?
Any other suggestion?

i think that force traveller is a wonderful vehicle which is tried and tested on the indian roads. yes an ac can be fitted within 24,000-30,000 INR. you can also go for TATA MARCOPOLO or TATA STAR BUS and fit it with ac. Swaraj Mazda also has a good range to offer in this segment. however in the TATA its only 32 seater and above that comes with factory fitted A/C.

I have been given quote of Rs. 1,18,200/- for AC addon. Total quote for Force 4020 CNG with AC is Rs. 12,74,781/-.

From all those what you mentioned, which one would you recommend?

i would recommend force TRAVELLER or TATA Star Bus 24 seater CNG these are the only two i would shortlist. I am not sure of the pricing of the starbus though.

Force Motors Traveller CNG

I am interested is buying Force Motors Traveller 4020 CNG. A Dealer gave following negative comments about CNG Model.

  1. As it starts on CNG, it will continue to have starting problem especially with lower temperature.
  2. Air Conditioner on CNG will cause lot of load and will ruin engine.
  3. CNG Engine has very short life.

Would appreciate comments from seniors, experts and real users.

Force/TATA/Eicher are the companies available for your purpose.

But Force/TATA motors have well hold in these segment.
You can check with Ashoka Leyland, I doubt they have 15-20 seater in AC option.

Else you can buy a chasis truck and get built it from some bus body maker to suit your needs.

If you have sufficient time to build up the body then buy a tata 712 /Ashok Leyland Stag chassis and build a body as per your requirement.
I wouldn't suggest you to go for mahindra/eicher chassis
And for ac you can mount a power pack(Old engine/New engine) for powering your ac unit.

And if you stick to seating capacity then buy a fully built bus from force traveller
