We too visited OM beach. The other beaches, 'Paradise' and 'Half moon' beaches were closed due to monsoon. OM beach has the temple, the other two beaches are the typical 'tourist' beaches i.e, grass/weed and women are easily available. In short, those beaches are only for vices, definitely wouldn't recommend if you are taking your kid along.ROFL

The beauty of western ghats is that its a different place in different season. It's one thing to visit when season kicks in. Its another to visit during monsoon beginning/end.

Drive in rain and ghats must be experienced. It can't be described in words.
