Nissan will be launching the much awaited 370Z in January, Auto Expo.

“The new sports car model Nissan 370Z would be introduced in India from January and shall be third in the series of fully imported cars launched here, after Teana and X-Trail,” Suresh Rangarajan said.

Can't say if above news is correct. Recently read somewhere that Nissan might not be participating in Auto Expo this time.

Nissan fans rejoice! 370Z is launching on 20th of this month, means only 4 days to go!

Nissan is all set to launch the sporty 370Z in India on the 20th of January. The Nissan 370Z will be most expensive Nissan in India, and will retain that tag for a very long time to come.

The 370Z uses a 3,696 cc V6 engine that outputs 336 PS@7000rpm and 365 N·m@5200. That’s more torque than many of the SUVs in India can manage.

Known as the Fairlady Z in the Japanese market, the 370Z filters power via a 7-speed automatic with paddle shifters or 6-speed manual transmission. Despite aluminum door panels, hood and hatch, the 370Z weighs well over 3000lbs, so forget the word fuel economy altogether.

Nissan has finally brought its 370Z to India priced at Rs 53.5 lakh for the manual and Rs 54.5 lakh for the automatic, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The Z certainly looks the part with its aggressive boomerang lights, low stance and sharp detailing. The latest Z offering will be powered by a 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine that produces 332bhp and 37.32kgm of torque, and promises to be an absolute riot to drive.
The motor is silky smooth, and rev happy and gives the car a power to weight ratio of 200bhp per tonne. The engine comes equipped with Nissan’s VVEL technology, or Variable Valve Event and Lift, which means power delivery is far smoother along with improved efficiency. As a result, the 370Z not only feels at home on the race track but also on our congested city streets.

There is an option of a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. The manual comes with what Nissan calls ‘Synchrorev’ that blips the throttle automatically as you downshift through the gears.

The launch could be related to a stunt from a Hollywood flick. The 370Z was driven down a moving truck which had a mechanical ramp while the media followed in two double-decker busses on the airstrip. Followed which Narain Karthikeyan pulled some doughnuts to show the capabilities of the 370Z.

Nice to hear about the launch!

Would love to see the video :-)

Pricing seems to be impressive & should dent Z4 & TT.
