Skoda India has successfully rolled out 25,000th Fabia hatchback in India from facility located in Chakan. This achievement is also pointing towards Skoda’s consistent success in India, where they have recorded a sales growth of 36.6% in 2010, over the year 2009. Currently Skoda Auto is in 10th year of their operations in India, which began a way back in November 2001.

“India has contributed significantly to Skoda’s growth as a global brand. Our products have captured the imagination of Indian consumers for years now. We stand by our commitment to our Indian consumers and promise to continuously offer products which will suit their growing lifestyle. Indian market has been earmarked as an integral part of our global growth strategy. We plan to achieve this aggressively by extending product portfolio to get to new segments resulting in profitable growth.” Said Prof. Dr. Vahland, Chairman of Board of Directors of Skoda Auto.

Good for Skoda. While Ford Figo did 25,000 in close to 100 days, how long did Fabia take?
Thanks for sharing the link.
But you cannot compare Figo and Fabia. The Alto K10 got 20,000 bookings in just 40 days!
When the Fabia was launched in india, it carried a tag of premium hatch and was expensive as compared to the current model and people took long time to accept a hatch which came at the price of sedan.

Finally! I think now after the price reduction the Fabia may achieve the next milestone a bit quicker!

+1 to Akash's statement. At that time premium hatches were not doing well until i20 and Punto arrived and changed the trend!

Not to forget the horror stories of their servicing by some of their dealers. Anyway, good for them. Hope they are doing something about it and change their ways.

More competition is better for us, customers also [:D]
