The new Verna 4S has been launched by Hyundai on February 18th 2015 at an Ex Showroom price of Rs. 7.73 Lacs in Delhi with 2 engine options i.e 1.4 L Petrol and Diesel and 1.6 L Petrol and Diesel Respectively. The technologies used in both engine specs of the new Verna 4S by Hyundai are VTVT and CRDi.

The Technical Specifications of both Diesel and Petrol Variants of the new Hyundai Verna 4S are posted below for ready reference.

The new Verna does have many segment first features this time around but the existing competitors do not make it any easier for this one to survive easily.

Comparison of Looks. Old Vs New Verna

If I talk about the looks, the new Verna 4S does look a lot sharper and aggressive from the front in comparison to the out-going fluidic Verna. The headlamp design and and new front grille does provide the new 4S Verna a refresh and rather distinct look this time around. The front of this new Verna looks rather massive than the out-going Verna fluidic.

Interiors of the new Hyundai Verna 4S

* Good and Comfortable seats. The Beige fabric does give the plush feeling when one sits inside. I have sat as passenger as well in this Verna and felt really comfortable. The cabin does look bright and roomy.

* The Steering Wheel: The steering wheel is both tilt and telescopic. It has integrated audio and phone controls. To make the steering look sporty, Hyundai has given a liberal dose of Silver accents to it.

What could be Improved by Hyundai

* NVH Level slightly to be modulated on lower RPMs.

* Car's Rear Design could have been better.

* Pricing of the new car can be still better.

* Basic Design of Rear Tail lights still reminds of the previous Verna Fluidic.

Overall, Verna by Hyundai is a respectable selling sedan. They have made an attempt of providing some good features and the interiors of Hyundai are definitely one of the best in quality and finishing.

I just want to add few points
1.Rear disc brake has been removed, but ABS is standard in all variants.
2.DRL provided in 2014 facelift has been discontinued though projector headlamps are still part of it.
3.Suspension Set up have been given just a minor tweak, not a major improvement.

somewhat surprised that you didn't add driving dynamics in the list of what could be improved by Hyundai.
When I drove this car, in terms of driving, the rear suspension looked worked upon from outgoing version. The cornering was good enough in City traffic.

A great write-up Akash1886. Brief and clear, to-the-point review. I have also driven my friend's 4S Verna. The suspension is tweaked a bit and the handling has improved. The front end dipping and the lateral movement on highways had been controlled well. The braking, IMO, was a tad loose as I have driven the previous gen Verna also with 4 disk brakes.

If Hyundai could offer LED taillamps on this one, then it would bring the visual appeal of this car to an all new level.

PS. Me too having a test drive report in my Laptop but without any pics. The TD was done alone (with the showroom guy, of course) but it was raining and other customers were waiting for TD, so couldn't click pics.
