since 2010 royal enfield bullet comes with uc engine and earlier bullets have CI engines in which the inlet and outlet valves were operated by push rods.does uc engine also has the same push rod system? or the camshaft is driven by chain like most of todays 4-stroke bikes?
Vijay, whatever be the means of driving the cam shaft (gear train or chain drive) the inlet and exhaust valves are operated by push rods only.
If you are talking about overhead camshaft, in that case, the cams directly drive the valves(acting as push rods).

yes i am talking about the over head camshaft that is seen in todays 4-stroke bikes.but this OH camshaft is driven by the chain that is connected to the crank gear.i want to know whether uc engine also has this system of chain driven camshaft or not.
It is not clear from the website of Royal Enefield, or even other websites. Since UC Engines come with electronic ignition, I assume, they have upgraded the valve operated mechanism too. IMO, UCEs have OHC mechanism.
