Temperature in Delhi these days is around 45 degrees. I got my car serviced last week from M.A.S.S. The A/c of the car is not effective as we all know about it. Well no worries about that but the engine temperature keeps on going above 50% maybe at 55-60% and Ac of the car stops cooling, horn stops blowing and the car is too hard to pull..its like that the car doesnt want to go any further.
It runs okay if there are 2-3 people in car including driver. But if there are 5 ppl then the problem occurs
Is this normal or is something wrong with the car?

| Re: My Modified Maruti 800. Its on petrol.
Maruti 800 2005 model, covered 26500 kms till now. Few days back I had the problem with the coolant. It leaked and there was none left, faced many difficulties but somehow managed to take the car to the maruti guys.
They have changed the coolant, fix the leak, changed the belt, engine oil, basically the service was done. Now after service there is problem of heating...ac trips down horn stops for few minutes, but after that they start working. Amplifier is too hot that I cannot even touch it and the output is horrible in speakers.
Also, the average of the car has gone down. Previously it was 18-19 km/ltr. But now its only 12-13

Then again after 50 km with 5 people sitting and ac on, the same problem occured. So what I did was stopped the ac. Then there was no problem. I think the engine is not taking much load. |

| Re: Maruti 800: Technical Issues and Solutions Hello ! Something is wrong with my AC vents, something is stuck there and it makes noise sometimes. I saw a piece of a glass inside, and sometimes dirt comes out when I switch on the ac. Can I open and clean these ac vents myself ? will these pieces of glass harm the blower or ac ? |

| Re: My Modified Maruti 800. Finally made it to m800 thread which is not dead ,like other sites.I to own an 2003 model completed 47k (ruby red) with interiors customize (gray---red & black).
I am planning to upgrade,my headlamps and grill of type-2,to type-3 headlamps and type-4 grill with Suzuki logo.
Problem=Not a direct fit,as the spare parts seller told me.
Solution=Need to cut the headlamp bracket, to fit it.BUT is it SAFE to do that.
Bought headlamps for 1.8k pair(lumax) ,grill & logo for 400rs.

Bought headlamps for 1.8k pair(lumax) ,grill & logo for 400rs. | I had got this job done through a roadside but experienced mechanic. He slightly hammered the frame from inside to accommodate new headlamps.

| Re: Maruti 800: Technical Issues and Solutions @varun i need some guidance on the R12 system fitted on my car , it is not cooling (minimal cooling is there ) checked the window on the drier bottle , it seems empty very little refrigerant is running ie it seems nearly clear.
i intend to replace the r12 with dupont mo49+. This is a drop in replacement for R12 and i bought 1 can of it also i got a ac manifold with three tubes and two pressure gauges which fits.
my query is whether i need to vacum the old gas and check the leakage (there seems to be no leakage as pressure is still there in Low side as well as high side. or i simply fill the new gas by following the filling process. |

| Re: Maruti 800: Technical Issues and Solutions Yes, its better you check for leaks before you fill in the gas. Where did you get the Dupont Mo49 ? |
