Hi friends,

Sometime back onwards, my ac didn't cool my car.
I thought some issue with the refrigerant.

Then last weekend i noticed some belt worn out in the engine.
I wondered for sometime how could a car run without that belt.

Then i suspected it must be the ac compressor belt.
I took the old and bought similar belt from shop.

I tried to fit that, but i couldn't do it.
Anyone could tell me how to fix it?
or Should i take it to mechanic only?

Thanks,
Suriya

There is a long bolt under the pulley, tightening that would loosen up the idler pulley..place the new belt and loosen the bolt to a tight fit.

Should i work from under the car? That is use jack to lift the car's front portion and go under the car and find that?

I could see ac compressor pulley, then 3 more pulleys in the engine.
3 pulleys are connected through one belt.
ac compressor should be connected to one of the 3 pulleys.

Hey last post was for another car.
For 800 loosen the alternator bolt and remove the alternator belt. Then loosen the a/c bolt and remove the old belt. Replace new belts and reverse the removal process. See pic:

I could not do that myself. I got help from mechanic to do it.
He dismantled 2-3 parts to create more space and completed the job in 10-15mins.

Anyway thanks for all your replies.
