Hello all, this is my first post on this forum.

I am going to share the restoration work done on my cousin's Maruti Alto.

My cousin's Alto is a 2005 year model, LXI variant, which has clocked 2 lacs kms on ODO. It is his daily work horse and was having lots of dents and scratches all over as it has never gone through any denting or repainting work in previous 12 years but is mechanically all fine as its single handed proper driven and is regularly serviced at Maruti Authorised service station. Recently, it met with an accident damaging front right shocker assembly, and some major dents on right hand fender and front left door.
At first it was decided to sell the car as it is but since it was the lucky car for the family, so,after discussions it was concluded to go for complete restoration.
We decided to get the restoration work done at Maruti Authorised service station and under insurace claim. It was also decided for conversion of alto type 1 to type 2.

Following work was done on the car :-
-Front right shocker assembly replacement.
-Front right fender replacement.
-Front left door replacement.
-Front windscreen replacement.
-Full denting of the unchanged pannels.
-Complete repaint.
-Front (Type 2) and rear bumper replacement.
-Both headlamps replacement (Type 2).
-Both tail lights replacement (Type 2)
-Plastic mud flaps.
-Left ORVM.
-Matte black paint on pillars.
-All four rims repaint (All four were replaced 1 year back).

Here are the complete pics from pre restoration till post restoration.

We kept visiting the body shop at regular intervals to ensure that all the work was executed properly. It took around 15 days to restore the car and the work was perfectly done as per our expectations.

Total amount that we had to pay from our pocket was ₹ 30k.

Some aftermarket works done :-

-New ICE setup which includes pioneer speakers and head unit.

-New mattings and under dash blue lighting.

-New set of number plates.

Total cost for these aftermarket works ~ ₹ 10k

Very nice restoration, I was going to suggest painting the bumpers body color, but looking at the stupid tempo and now the e-rick it's better to keep it black.

Excellent restoration work.!
It now looks like a new car.

You said 'Total cost for these aftermarket works ~ ₹ 10k' - Is this amount includes the ICE (Head unit + speakers)??
