Hello everyone.

My car was sitting idle for atleast 7 months.

I fired it up 4 days back and it is throwing a lot of white smoke out through silencer.

Mechanic did visit and freed drums, brake adjustment, idle adjustment etc. but could not find out the real reason behind the smoke. I saw on youtube that replacing PCV valve might solve the problem and the mechanic says he has no idea about PCV valve. So I thought I will do DIY.

Can someone please point out where the PCV is located in Maruti Omni / Van please?

Thank you.

I rectified a similar issue in my old esteem by replacing the valve stem seals may this is what causing yours too. But imo this will require skills to do it as a DIY.

If you think it is the PCV valve then lookout anywhere on the crank case which looks like a valve as PCV stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation.

Don't know about the van, but it should ideally be located in between the tappet cover and throttle body.

Here it is in my 800
