Dear Friends:

I am a proud owner of a 1988 RX 100 and a 1986 RD350.
I am in the process of converting the electrics to 12V on the RX100.
Could someone please help identify or confirm if the attached stator plate and the magnetic drum is off a 12V Yamaha. The buyer claimed it’s a 12v unit. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Daryl

Thanks!
So I guess, this unit us useless for me.
I had bought this in the hopes of converting my existing electrics to 12V

Before concluding fix it on the bike and check the output voltage. There are many RX100 6V coil plates converted to 12V either by manual winding or replacing the coil alone (without changing the end sockets) This might me one such example.

I would stay away from re-wounded coils, would rather source the OEM 12V. This goes in the garbage bin.
