Finally got our hands on a Forester...
What an ultra rare car...

Did some maintenance work and here are some pics....

1) Decarbonizing the Engine.. 1st things 1st [:D]

Exhaust Air Flow Before the PHD60 Treatment

Exhaust Air Flow After the PHD60 Treatment
18.99% improvement!!!

Next up... Throttle Body cleaning...

Here's the beautiful boxer engine..... without the air intake.

Throttle Body Removed! Look at the lovely stuff!!!

Forgot to take the pictures after cleaning.. believe me it was almost like new...

Took off the EGR Valve as well..
Look at the heat damage done to the bolts... damn..

Look at the Dark Dirty Dungeon..

Cleaned up the bolts as well and coated them high temp resistant anti-seize paste

Cleaning the electrical contact points as well...

After Cleaning the EGR valve with Paint Remover and using a mini screw driver to scrap off hard to remove the carbon deposits. Damn!

Fixing back the EGR

Next UP is the PCV Valve

Used a Degreaser Spray to clean it up and coated the threads with anti seize paste

We did the engine oil change as well but forgot take pics.. oh well...

So we decided to a capture all gear and rear differential oil changing pics...

All the tools lined up and prepared

The amazing XADO Gear Oils..

Located the bolt to release the oil but it was super duper tight..
So we used a manual wrench together with the hydraulic jack to secure the bolt in place and used a mallet to hit the wrench... this worked to loosen the bolt..

Gear box taking a leak....

This the bolt which was very tight.... it has a magnet.. got it cleaned up as well..

Draining all done .. now time to refill

Next up Rear differential....

Cleaned up both the filler bolt as well as the drain bolt

Fill up was done with a plastic tube and squeeze plastic bottle.
