Removing Floormat Clips on VW Vento/Polo

Hello,

I'hv been using the rubber floor mats since quite some time, but these mats aren't that great anymore. So I had decided to go for 3D Maxpider KAGU mats, they're of great quality and have anti slip velcro like material in their bottom so it is impossible to slip.

but the problem is the clips for stock mats are not removable and does not let the Kagu mats fit perfectly :( Is there any workaround for removing these clips?

Its possible to remove them,i had these hooks in my i20,(See post #49 in link)
They remove the side door sill cover & move the below fabric & remove the clips/hooks. Go to an accessory store they can do it. If its not possible then this is the first time i am hearing about it in any car.

Today morning I have been trying to remove them.. I decided to break them all the first attempt was not so good. but got to know that it can be removed by small pliers. used it with force and then it came off cleanly although the other piece is stuck below the carpet.

Installed 3d mats, although the fit is not perfect but its ok as its not slipping. can be seen from the pictures.
