Hi, I've been in the used car market looking for a 2007-'09 Safari Dicor 2.2 and many people advised to go for the old 3.0l one or the updated 2010 version. Primary reason being the timing belt snapping frequently due to a faulty design by Tata. Is this true and how bad I need to be worried about it in long drives? Can we rectify this by retrofitting from old 3l dicor or newer Safari's. Does the 2010 revised variant actually found a solution to this problem? Can anyone shed some light on this? [confused]

Hi
There is no problem with timing belt. Once if it has been changed then no tension for next 75k kms. Please PM me for the used Tata Safari as of your requirements.
