Hi all,
I am working in a school where there are 13 buses ( 40 seater - both tata and leyland ). All buses are equipped with AC ( no separate engine for AC ). Almost all buses are around 6 - 8 years old ( 2 Lakhs KM ). Now our transport in-charge ( my friend ) is facing a problem that the frequency of brake down is more. Also the AC is not working in all brake down.
When consulted with service technician, they are suggesting to put separate engine for AC.
But is it worth putting separate engine in buses which are more than six years old ?
Second is the bus body is very old that there is lot insulation issue which cause the AC lost?
