Catalytic Converter (Cat Con) Issue?

I had bought a used alto 6 months ago and yesterday while having it washed noticed that the exhaust system had been repaired welded. I have attached the relevent pictures. Is this the cat con? do i need to get it repaired and if so how much would it set me back? I am not facing any issues with the car its just that this seems like a shoddy repair job

If there is no problem with the exhaust sound carry on with the vehicle. There is no need of a change. Again for a fail safe check the welding.

Thanks your your input. There are no problems with the exhaust note or vehicle performance whatsoever. But a welded part is sure to fail sooner or later. Any idea on what the replacement costs might be?
