Converting Point Breaker System to Electronic Ignition

I own a 1997 maruti 800. This is a Carb model without ECU. I am keen on converting this car to Electronic Ignition coil system as opposed to the Point system that is currently present in it.

I have seen some kits available online on foreign website but not sure if anything is available in india? or if there is a ready kit available from a different car model that can be retro-fitted into my car...

Pls help!!!

Adding a electronic ignition is not a big deal but I suspect you might have to change the wiring harnesses throughout .

Jarpickle or Varun. I can do blah blah theoretically. But they have actually done so many of those serious DIYs. They know 800 in out.

I myself have a 97 Carb 800.It is using an MPI kit from Auto escorts.

MPI is different from MPFI.MPI stands for multipoint ignition which is related to combustion of fuel, whereas MPFI stands for multi point fuel injection which is related to supply of fuel to the engine.

Auto escorts in an Indian company and they warranty the entire kit for 1 year.The kit comes with 3 NGK platinum spark plugs.You don't have to worry about CB points any more.They also make kits for the Yamaha RD350 and Royal Enfield bikes.This kit helps burn the fuel more efficiently.You can expect some amount of mileage increase.Please do not expect out of this world benefits though.Mileage increase depends on various factors.
